Congratulations to Drs. Bryce Beutler and Lucas A Tsikitas, both esteemed recipients of the Stewart Dale Fordham MD Distinguished Resident and Faculty Awards, 2024!Each year this award is bestowed upon one graduating resident and one outstanding faculty member who best exemplify the character of a true academician - showing impact in the clinical, educational, scholarly and/or service domains and a clear demonstration of compassion, integrity and ethics.A few things about Dr. Bryce Beutler. As a trainee, he's published nearly 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts, submitted abstracts and presentations. He's demonstrated an exceptional level of dedication and commitment to the residency program, creating over 20K "curriculum replacing", flash cards. Described as mild-mannered at a baseline, conversely he's a fierce advocate for patients and colleagues alike.Onto Dr. Lucas Tsikitas. Though relatively new faculty, he's drawn acclaim as a compassionate educator, an above and beyond colleague and an enthusiastic contributor to the academic radiology community. He has modelled patience through significant hardship, chosen teamwork despite attrition and regularly exhibited his humanity through humor and humility. Also described as a "rising star" worthy of acknowledgement and further academic encouragement.Incredibly proud of these two exceptional recipients. We honor them as Distinguished Residents and Faculty, each awarded by certificate and gift of $1000. “Beyond the Image: Maladaptive and Growth-Based Mindsets Among Radiology Residences, and Their Broader Significance”Olga Laur, M.D.is a Musculoskeletal Radiologist and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology at Weill Cornell Medicine/ New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY. She received her M.D. from Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT, and completed her training in Diagnostic Radiology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA.
